January 5, 2012

L-3 Telemetry-East (L-3 TE) was recently awarded a three-year ID/IQ (indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity), contract from the Naval Air Weapons Station China Lake to support the U.S. Navy’s crypto-modernization efforts. The contract addresses secure products including the KGR-135A rack mount decryption unit, ISM-1000 and SP-135A airborne encryption units. These products are used to encrypt telemetry data in aircraft, launch vehicle and weapons flight test platforms and decrypt the data telemetry in ground stations.

These recently developed products are now in full rate production at L-3 TE, continuing over 30 years of supplying secure products to the U.S. Government and its military services. Marc Lienard, president of L-3 TE, stated “We are pleased to support the U.S. Navy in their crypto-modernization efforts and to continue our long history as a premier supplier.”
